FAQ - Swan Pools Planning Checklist
Swim Team
Swan Pools creates "environments." This environment may be a tropical oasis, it may be for exercise and competition, or just for relaxation. The design may include some of these factors and more.

In order for Swan Pools to create your special environment, we need your help by asking a few questions. Below is Swan Pools' planning checklist of things to think about and discuss with other family members.

Q: Do you plan to use your pool for exercise or aqua aerobics?
Swan Pools can incorporate features in your pool such as exercise bars, swim anchors, and swim jets, all that will assist in exercise.

Q: Are you considering a diving board or slide?
Swan Pools does not advocate diving boards and slides, but if you must have one, Swan Pools only builds diving pools that meet the APSP (Association of Pool and Spa Professionals) diving requirements.

Q: Is your pool for relaxation?
What pool isn't? An obvious question right? Remember, our designer will work with you to plan a pool that meets your families needs. Swan Pools can install umbrella sleeves, rope anchors, wading areas, a shamo shelf, and even a beach entry area.

Q: Are you considering a therapeutic spa attached to your pool?
Swan Pools can incorporate a spa with your pool that operates using the same pump, filter and heater used by the pool. This is an affordable option that will give you pleasure all year long.

Q: Will children be using the pool?
Swan Pools can incorporate features in your pool such as protected wading areas, swim ledges, and extra wide steps. We also offer automatic and manual safety pool covers and many different types of decorative and safety fencing.

Q: Will sports or games be played in your pool?
We can install plastic sleeves in the decking next to your pool for a basketball hoop and volleyball net.

Q: Are there unpleasant noises that need to be subdued?
Swan Pools offers many different water feature options from boulder waterfalls to Sheer Descent spillways to grottos with spraying fountains.

Q: Are you planning landscape during pool construction or afterward?
We can incorporate landscaping with your pool project now or plan the necessary irrigation sleeves so that the work can be done when the pool is complete.

Q: Do you have any easements that may restrict construction?
Finding out this information now can avoid potential delays with the design and permitting process.

Q: Do you have a homeowners association?
In most cases we can have our permit personnel apply for your homeowner association approvals. Check with your local Swan Pools office.
